The Early
Days....
Frank Hollberg, Sr.
moved to the bustling town of Senoia in the early 1890's to begin a
jewelry business. He
quickly recognized the needs of the community and began selling furniture
along with jewelry. Time and demand changed the business which led
to the establishment of Hollberg's Fine Furniture in 1894. The
business was growing and soon moved from the small storefront location to
a new building shared by the local Senoia Post Office.
Frank Hollberg, Jr.
joined his father in the business after graduating from Georgia Tech in
1923. The post office eventually moved to a new location which allowed
Hollberg's the opportunity to expand their business. This expansion
led to a remodeling of the existing store along with the newly acquired
space. New lines of furniture were added to sell and the business
prospered.
Frank
Hollberg III, the current owner and president,
joined the business in 1961. He, like his father, also
graduated from Georgia Tech. Again, Frank Jr. and Frank III
continued adding to the physical structure of Hollberg's Fine
Furniture and expanding the lines of furniture. They purchased
two buildings on Main Street and added new showrooms across the
street from the main store.
